After years of ardent pursuit and expression of our desire to join the Council for World Mission (CWM) family, we are overjoyed to announce that the Presbyterian Church of Mauritius (PCM) has been formally admitted as member church.
Recently, PCM, alongside the Presbyterian Churches of the Cook Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vanuatu, was warmly welcomed to the CWM headquarters in Singapore for a comprehensive induction and orientation program. Our delegation, comprising Rev. Dr. Maurice Davantin, Mrs. Gina Yen (PCM Treasurer), and Mr. Douglas Nelson (PCM Moderator), had the privilege of participating in this enriching experience from September 8th to 12th, 2025.
During our stay, we were treated to a warm welcome and blessed with meaningful moments of fellowship and sharing with CWM staff and member churches. The four-day program provided an intense briefing and in-depth exploration of CWM’s history, mission, governance, and financial frameworks.
As a member of the CWM, PCM is poised to benefit from collaborative mission and evangelism projects, as well as resource sharing. We are confident that this partnership will amplify our witness and service to the world. We praise God for this milestone and pray that He continues to guide and empower PCM as we embark on this new chapter of mission and service. “May we remain faithful and zealous servants of the Lord, shining His light in all that we do."
Mr. Douglas NELSON
