How can I serve the Church?

Ministry

“The harvest is great, but there are few workers.” Matthew 9:37

As a member of the body of Christ, the Church is called to be that place where we can serve each other and where we can share our Christian experience with each other. The Church is not a building or an organization of any kind, the Church was founded by God, established by Jesus and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

The Church is this space where we can grow, we can give freely of our time and our talents and thus fulfill the two great commandments of Jesus:

“You shall love THE LORD, your GOD, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. It is the first and the greatest command. And here is the second similar to it: You will love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22: 36-39.

The harvest is great, there are many ways to serve the Church within the different ministries we serve.

We are not saved by our good works, but we are saved in order to restore glory to God. God designed us to serve as Christ served, so let’s imitate him and serve others. The gift God gives us can be used to help this troubled brother or sister.

Whether you are aware of the call that God has for you or not, we invite you to consider serving with us! Contact the parish secretary or the PCM secretariat for details.
