The annual celebration of the World Day of Prayer is observed during the month of March in different religious denominations. The opening of this event took place at the Presbyterian Church of Mauritius in the parish of St André on Friday 1st of March at 10:30 a.m.
The event will take place at the Presbyterian Church of Mauritius in the following parishes:
- St Columba Presbyterian Church on Sunday 3rd of March at 09:30 a.m.
- St Thomas Anglican Church, Beau Bassin on Wednesday 13th of March at 09:30 a.m.
- St Pierre Presbyterian Church on Saturday 16th of March at 05:00 p.m.
- St Jean Presbyterian Church on Sunday 17th of March at 09:00 a.m.
- Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Rose Hill on Wednesday 13th of March at 06:00 p.m.
The theme chosen this year: A place of love for peace.

The liturgy is prepared by the women of Palestine.
