The Nigerian community at St Columba Presbyterian Church warmly invites you to join us for a very special celebration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day. This year, our festivities will not only honor Nigeria’s rich culture and heritage but will also support a meaningful cause: improving the bathrooms at the École Bienvenue, the Presbyterian Pre-primary School.

Event highlights

  • Jollof Rice Feast – Enjoy authentic Nigerian Jollof rice with all its flavors and spices, served alongside other delicious dishes.
  • Music & Entertainment – Experience vibrant Nigerian music and community fellowship.
  • Cultural Stalls – Explore Nigerian accessories, crafts, and traditional wares.
  • Fundraising with Purpose – Proceeds will go towards improving facilities for the Presbyterian Pre-primary School, specifically the bathroom improvement project, making a lasting impact on the lives of students.

Event details

  • Date & Time: Sunday 5 October between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM
  • Venue: Karibu Café, St Columba Church (behind Carrefour Phoenix)
  • Prices (payment at the door): Rs 500 for adults, Rs 200 for children between 5 and 12 years old, free for children below 5 years old (take away will also be sold at the end of the event)
